Job summary

HC Recruit seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager (Divisional) in Midrand to oversee a centralized distribution structure across the corporate group. The role focuses on optimizing warehouse, DC, and logistics with a newly deployed Warehouse Management System (WMS) and data-driven performance oversight.

Requirements include 8–10 years in SCM, 3+ years in senior leadership, and proven expertise in end-to-end procurement and sales for low-voltage electrical systems, plus ERP/WMS integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, procurement logistics, supply chain or a related field.
• 8–10 years of equivalent-level supply chain management experience.
• 3+ years in a dedicated senior leadership capacity.
• Must have centralising supply chains (warehouse, DC, logistics).
• Demonstrated experience delivering Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations.
• Expertise in end-to-end procurement and sales lifecycle of low-voltage electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the centralisation of the supply chain, aligning warehouse, DC and logistics with the new WMS.
• Configure and integrate the WMS with ERP systems to support workflows.
• Design and extract KPIs and reports for senior leadership on DC performance.
• Structure implementation to minimise post-launch vendor reliance through training.
• Manage cross-functional teams to improve performance and accountability.
• Balance service delivery with strict financial oversight to control costs and profitability.
• Oversee importing, exporting, and cross-border trade flows as part of daily operations.

Purpose of the job: The purpose of this Senior positions is to oversee and optimize a centralized distribution supply chain structure across the corporate group.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Management, Procurement Logistics, Supply chain or similar
2. 8–10 years of equivalent-level Supply Chain Management experience.
3. 3+ years in a dedicated Senior Leadership capacity.
4. Prior practical experience centralising supply chains (including Warehouse, DC, and logistics functions).
5. Demonstrated experience delivering successful Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations.
6. MUST HAVE: Demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end procurement and sales lifecycle of low-voltage electrical systems and related components

Technical Competencies & Experience:

1. Supply Chain Centralisation: Spearhead the integration of a centralised supply chain, aligning warehouse, distribution centre (DC), and logistics operations with a newly deployed Warehouse Management System (WMS).
2. System Customisation & ERP Integration: Configure the WMS to match specific business workflows and successfully bridged data flows through seamless integration with enterprise ERP systems.
3. Data-Driven Management: Design and extract business-critical operational reports and KPIs, providing senior leadership with actionable statistics for DC performance tracking.
4. Vendor & Cost Optimization: Structure the implementation to ensure self-sufficiency, drastically reducing reliance on expensive post-launch vendor support through robust initial training frameworks.
5. Leadership & Professional Development: Demonstrate a strong track record of managing, mentoring, and directing cross-functional teams to elevate performance and accountability.
6. Commercial & Financial Acumen: Balance a client-centric service delivery model with strict financial oversight to control operational costs and drive profitability.

• Importing stock lines to maintain optimal inventory levels.
