Job summary

Ultra Pharmaceutical And Medical Placements, a leading medical supplier based in Johannesburg, invites a recent graduate with a Logistics/Warehousing/Supply Chain qualification to join the Internship for 1 year in the Warehouse and Customer Service Department.

The trainee will handle outbound and inbound stock movements, stock control, and general duties including after-hours on-call shifts, quarterly stock takes, and liaison with branches and hospital cases.

Qualifications

• Only graduates of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar can apply.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Clear communication and fluent English.
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle.
• Must be able to work after hours, night shift, on call and for stock takes.

• Outbound: receive, pack, and send loan sets; check instrument functionality; prepare documentation.
• Inbound: record usages of loan sets and notify invoicing; track missing/broken instrumentation.

Job description

Leading medical supplier based in Johannesburg requires a recent Graduate with a Logistics / Warehousing / Supply Chain qualification to assist in the Warehouse and Customer Service Department. Duration of the Internship is 1 year. Applicants must have a 3 year Diploma or Degree.

OUTBOUND:

• Receiving, packing, and sending of all required medical loan sets/stock to branches and hospital cases.
• Checking of all medical instruments for functionality to ensure good working order of medical instruments.
• Preparation of appropriate documentation to accompany medical loan sets to and from customers
• Requisitioning of medical loan sets and implants and follow up on flight details.
• Assist with the accurate recording of bookings from customers when required.

INBOUND:

• Usages from loan sets to be accurately recorded and copies thereof to be given to the invoicing department.
• Recording and notification of missing / broken instrumentation.
• Follow up with hospital staff and sales representatives regarding broken / missing instrumentation and stock.

STOCK CONTROL:

• Weekly stock counts (when requested to assist).
• Assist with Branch Requests
• Stock Management (Soon to Expire stock, Stock Write off’s, Stock Rotation)

GENERAL:

• Perform “On Call & Shift” duties i.e.: collection / receipting / delivery of stock / loan sets wherever and whenever necessary.
• Preparation for and participating in quarterly stock takes.
• Assist with any general duties in CSD as and when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Only graduates of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar can apply.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Good, and clear communication, fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle (not public transport). This is essential
• Due to our operation candidate needs to be able to work after hours, night shift, on call and for stock takes – not negotiable.
• ERP System experience an advantage.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in close proximity to Edenvale / Greenstone / Kempton Park / Tembisa / Sandton.
• Previous experience working experience will be an advantage (+1 year).
• Good computer skills (i.e., MS Office package).
