Job summary

SoluGrowth (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to partner with manufacturing sites and JVs, generating financial data to enable fact-based decisions and cost management. You will analyze monthly results, KPIs, and variances, ensuring accuracy of BOMs and adherence to financial controls across sites.

Ideal candidates have a BCom with accounting honours or CIMA, 3+ years in management accounting/controlling within Supply Chain, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification completed.
• CIMA or BCom Accounting honours.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Management Accounting/Controlling, ideally in Supply Chain; FMCG experience advantageous.
• Excellent team player with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Cross functional cooperation with various teams.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP with manufacturing focus.
• Ability to prepare simple to medium complexity business cases and models.

Responsibilities

• Support the business planning cycle (Strategic Plan, Annual Plan, Latest Estimates).
• Prepare and analyse monthly results and deliver management reports with KPIs and insights.

Advertisement - Supply Chain Analyst

Purpose: Be a first-class business partner for the allocated manufacturing sites and JVs by generating and collating financial data, ensure integrity of financial data. Identify and access performance and risks and take or recommend business decisions and actions for the relevant business unit [PP&l, Cellars and Packaging] to assist and enable fact-based decision making and product and operating cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a co-pilot to Sites and JVs Production teams in decision making through solicited and unsolicited advice based on financial analysis and in-depth knowledge of business operations.
• Support the business planning cycle of the Site (Strategic Plan, Annual Plan and Latest Estimates).
• Prepare and critically analyse monthly results and deliver timely management reports which include commentaries, KPIs, graphs, internal/external insights and/or benchmarks.
• Manage and assess business unit performance against standards including: OEE, O/T, costing standards, Routing on SAP and recommend performance improvement or standards adjustment
• Analyse and report on weekly and monthly production order variances, provide early warnings on deviations, advise on corrective/mitigating actions; review loss trends; ensure that the production Bill of Materials are correct and up to date.
• Ensure reliability & integrity of accounting records (accounts and cost centres) and financial information (P&L and balance sheet) through regular controls and financial awareness of functions.
• Ensure short-term interval controls are effective. Continuously review sites and JVs financial control processes and identify possible risks. Propose and implement solutions/controls to strengthen control environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Perform monthly audits to ensure adherence to internal control principles and assist in stock verification as and when required.
• Support business unit to ensure adherence to financial control policies (financial, IT and materials) and procedures and good corporate governance principles & practices.
• Adhere to Excise policies and procedures and ensure documentation and administration is suitably maintained.
• Ensure adherence and provide necessary support to the capital expenditure process as well as ensuring validity and accuracy of the asset register.
• Involved in stock management and assist with stock takes, identification of slow moving and obsolete stock. Escalate to management team any stock risks.
• Participate in cross site audits and stock takes.
• Develop level 2 & 3 management financial competencies / capability in business unit.
• Implement new ideas and improve methods, systems and work processes that will lead to higher quality, better results, and reduced costs.
• Support and assist site managers in compiling OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasts.
• Co-ordinate the processing of budgets and forecasts
• Managing of the Monthly Barrel reconciliations across sites
• Responsible for the accurate and timeous end to end processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions, management accounts and reporting relating to the JV’s.

Education & Experience:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification completed.
• CIMA/ BCom Accounting honours.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the area of Management Accounting and/or Controlling, ideally in Supply Chain. FMCG experience advantageous.
