Sibanye Stillwater in South Africa seeks an Engineering Supervisor to coordinate equipment maintenance programs across operations. You will provide expert oversight to ensure plant and equipment are maintained in safe, reliable condition and meet production targets.

The role requires relevant certificates, at least 5 years in supervisory capacity, and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and cross-functional teamwork within a mining environment.

Formación

• N2 Certificate or higher is required.
• Engineering Supervisor Certificate of Competence is required.
• Artisan Trade Certificate (Section 13 or Section 26D) with results.
• Minimum 5 years’ supervisory engineering experience.
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.

Responsabilidades

• Continuously reviews equipment task lists in the SAP ERP system for maintenance improvements and equipment developments.
• Ensures compliance to MHSA, OHSA and domestic requirements in all maintenance facilities.
• Identifies and establishes tools required to perform identified maintenance tasks.
• Proof and evaluate maintenance compliance of legal regulations, standards and procedures.
• Assess key maintenance functions to ensure efficient support of operations.
• Facilitates cross-functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance.
• Audits sites and equipment for workmanship, quality and standards compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously reviews equipment task lists in the ERP- SAP system in light of maintenance improvements, equipment developments and modifications.
• Ensures compliance to MHSA, OHSA and domestic requirements in all maintenance facilities provided
• Identifies and establishes the special tools required to perform the identified maintenance tasks to be carried out
• Proof and evaluate compliance of the maintenance application to legal and statutory regulations, standards, codes of practice, specifications and standard operating procedures.
• Assess key maintenance functions to ascertain whether they efficiently and effectively support the operations
• Facilitates cross functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance.
• Standards Enforcement and Quality Assurance o Assist in establishing programs to maintain and improve the quality of maintenance and the maintenance systems employed to minimize unplanned downtime on key equipment.
• Audits o Visit sites and equipment locations on the mine and undertake equipment audits and inspections in respect to engineering workmanship, quality and compliance with engineering policies, procedures and standards

Job Purpose

• This role is responsible for the coordination and management of the equipment maintenance programmes on the operations by providing expertise in the maintenance of equipment ensuring plant and equipment is maintained effectively and operated in a safe and reliable condition.
