Placements24 in South Africa seeks an experienced Fitness Studio Manager to lead the flagship Soweto studio in Gauteng. You will drive daily operations, oversee staff, and push membership growth while ensuring top-tier member experience.

The role requires strong leadership, a proven sales and retention track record, and hands-on budgeting and P&L management in leisure & sports. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and willingness to relocate to Soweto are important.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in fitness studio management or a similar leadership role.
• Proven track record in sales, membership acquisition, and retention.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience in managing diverse staff.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Financial acumen with budgeting and P&L management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the fitness studio, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
• Manage, recruit, train, and motivate a team of fitness instructors, front desk staff, and support personnel.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive membership growth and retention.
• Manage studio budgets, including revenue targets, expense control, and profitability.
• Ensure health, safety, and hygiene regulations are adhered to.
• Maintain excellent member relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Oversee scheduling of classes, personal training sessions, and studio events.
• Manage inventory of fitness supplies, equipment, and retail products.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for staff and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Uphold the brand's values and ensure a positive studio atmosphere.
