Placements24 is seeking a Structural Engineer for its Sandton office, offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will handle structural analysis and design for high-rise, commercial and industrial projects, using advanced software and collaborating with architects and PMs.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with a structures focus and at least five years of experience, with strong knowledge of concrete, steel and codes. ECSA registration is highly desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structures specialization.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant structural design experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure).
• Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and composite structures; familiarity with SA building regulations and international codes.

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural analysis and design for diverse structures using advanced software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and engineers on integrated designs.
• Conduct site visits for inspections and addressing construction queries.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and best practices (SANS, Eurocodes).

Requirements

• Familiarity with South African building regulations and relevant international codes.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer is highly desirable.
