Placements24 seeks a seasoned Structural Engineer to join our Durban practice. You will lead structural design and analysis for commercial and mixed-use developments, work with a multi-disciplinary team, and ensure safety, efficiency, and architectural integration.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng or BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering, is registered with ECSA (Pr. Eng or Candidate), and has at least 6 years of experience with ETABS, SAP2000, or Revit Structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in civil/structural engineering is required.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Candidate) is required.
• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering design for buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings using steel, concrete, and other materials.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by contractors.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
