Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in structural design to join our Nelspruit team. You will design safe, durable structural elements for buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities while ensuring compliance with South African building codes in Mpumalanga.

The role requires a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with 6 years of structural design experience, and proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS or Prokon.

Qualifications

• A degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design.
• Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer registration with ECSA preferred.
• Proficiency in structrual analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS or Prokon.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD and structural analysis software.
• Ensure compliance with the National Building Regulations and relevant engineering standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate structural requirements with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform site inspections to verify construction quality and adherence to design intent.

This position requires a deep understanding of structural principles and materials, working closely with architects and other engineers to bring complex designs to life while ensuring adherence to rigorous South African building codes and standards in the Mpumalanga region.

Key Responsibilities
