Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is seeking a Vendor Management Specialist to manage SLA, contracting and procurement, while strengthening third-party relationships and governance across the organisation.

The role requires 5–7 years in vendor management with 2–3 years in ICT, and a relevant degree (BCom/BSc). You will collaborate with business units, risk, and compliance to optimise vendor engagements and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant field (commerce, engineering or supply chain).
• 5–7 years’ progressive vendor management/procurement experience in a mid-to-large organization.
• 2–3 years’ ICT experience is preferred.
• Understanding of governance structures and vendor risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Drive effective vendor management and improve collaboration with vendor partners for SLA, contracting and delivery.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders with external partners across the group for vendor engagements.
• Provide guidance to business on vendor management and risk with assertive influencing skills.
• Facilitate problem resolution and protect supplier relationships per contracts.
