Job summary

Objective Personnel in Gauteng seeks a procurement professional to source parts, materials and services, negotiating quotations and ensuring on‑time delivery in line with ISO 9001 procedures.

Ideal candidates hold Matric or Senior Certificate with a relevant qualification, a valid driver’s license and 3–5 years’ procurement experience in engineering or manufacturing environments. Reading drawings and independent work are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Matric or Senior Certificate and relevant qualification required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and 3–5 years procurement experience in engineering/manufacturing/mining environments.
• Ability to read drawings and component diagrams is advantageous.
• Strong purchasing processes, supplier management and ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase parts, components, materials and services.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Collaborate with Stores, Workshop, QC, Service and Management.
• Resolve supplier issues; monitor performance and address problems.
• Ensure procurement aligns with ISO 9001 procedures.
• Assist with cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
