Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and assess market dynamics.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various categories of goods and services.
• Lead tender processes, including RFQ/RFP development, bid evaluation, and supplier selection.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Manage and develop relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring performance against contracts and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide expert advice.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the supply chain.
• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier information, contracts, and purchasing activities.
• Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Demonstrable experience in conducting market analysis and developing sourcing strategies.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

• Proficiency in sourcing software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Must be based in or able to commute to Cape Town, Western Cape .
