Job summary

Sasol is seeking a Shutdown Planner based in Sasolburg to execute shutdown planning, interpret the shutdown scope, and break it into individual activities. You will coordinate shutdown activities using planning tools, develop schedules with Operations, Maintenance and Shutdown Contractors, load resources, capture milestones, and identify critical paths.

The role requires proactive progress reporting, adherence to Change Management, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science
• Occupational Trade Qualification (NQF4)
• 5 years in maintenance or project/shutdown planning environment

Responsibilities

• Execute shutdown planning functions, including interpretation of shutdown scope and breakdown into activities.
• Coordinate shutdown activities through planning and resource scheduling tools, techniques, and activities.
• Develop shutdown schedules with Operations and Maintenance and Shutdown Contractors.
• Gather data and prepare resource loading of schedules.
• Capture key milestones, start dates, and end dates.
• Identify critical paths and float.
• Assist in progress reporting against baseline.
• Ensure Shutdown projects are captured on EIS.
• Alert shutdown team to concerns of potential deviations.
• Provide up-to-date feedback on shutdown activities during shutdowns.
