Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Supply Chain Optimization Specialist in Randburg, Gauteng to optimize the entire supply chain from procurement to delivery. The role requires strong analytics, model-based decision making and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, leverage ERP and data tools, and prepare strategic recommendations for management. Hybrid work with regular Randburg office presence is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management or optimization with a focus on analytics and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices and relevant technologies.
• Proficiency in modeling software and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL) and ERP systems.
• Lean/Six Sigma familiarity is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize end-to-end supply chain including inventory, logistics, warehousing and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve delivery times and service levels.
• Use modeling and simulation tools to evaluate scenarios and solutions.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales to ensure seamless execution.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and track KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management on performance and optimization projects.
