Job summary

Bright City Talent in Germiston is seeking a Retail Demand Planning & Allocation Specialist to shape forecasts, optimise stock, and support strategic decisions across the business.

You will build rolling 52-week forecasts by SKU, category and store, collaborate with Category Managers, model demand for promotions, and lead monthly Demand Review meetings. The role requires 3–5 years in demand planning within multi-store retail, proficiency with Netstock, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of solid experience in demand planning, forecasting, or allocation within a multi-store retail environment.
• Experience with inventory parameters and allocation processes is required.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain rolling 52-week forecasts at SKU, category and store levels.
• Develop baseline, seasonal and event-based forecasts for key retail periods.
• Collaborate with Category Managers to model demand trends.
• Lead monthly Demand Review meetings with stakeholders.
• Set inventory parameters including min-max levels and reorder points.
• Oversee allocation runs and auto-replenishment rules.
• Monitor weeks of cover and adjust replenishment strategies.
• Analyse forecast accuracy post-event to drive improvements.
