Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in category management, retail buying, or related role in FMCG/retail.
• Proven track record in driving category growth and profitability.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent understanding of retail math, pricing, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies including assortment planning and sales forecasting.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional support.
• Optimize product assortment and inventory levels to maximize profitability.
• Develop and execute pricing and promotional strategies to meet category objectives.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to ensure successful launches.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Identify and source new products and suppliers for the category.
