Edgexec (Pty) Ltd seeks a strategic General Manager for a premier Mpumalanga resort, responsible for gaming, hotel, F&B and conferencing operations. You will drive annual business plans, budgets, and profitability, while upholding governance, service standards, and stakeholder relations.

The role demands 8+ years in senior hospitality leadership, with proven ability to deliver revenue growth, operational excellence, and transformation aligned with BBEE objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of senior management experience in hospitality and gaming sectors.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue, market share and profitability growth.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Extensive financial management and operational expertise.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for all operational functions within the resort, including gaming, hotel, F&B, conferencing, and support services.
• Develop, present, and execute the annual business plan encompassing budgets, forecasts, and profit-enhancement initiatives.
• Drive operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and excellence across all departments.
• Oversee property maintenance, hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation, implementing proactive capital expenditure and maintenance strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with legislative and regulatory standards, including Gaming Board requirements.
• Lead transformation efforts in line with B-BBEE objectives, establishing and managing related committees.
• Cultivate strong relationships with employees, guests, unions, shareholders, community leaders, and regulators.
• Embed core values such as respect, humility, integrity, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
• Maintain rigorous financial governance and cost control measures.
• Spearhead marketing, promotions, and entertainment initiatives aligned with business priorities and customer insights.
• Champion the Group Customer Care programme, continuously elevating service standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the management team through performance management and engagement.
• Implement group projects, initiatives, and governance requirements effectively across the resort.
