Shoprite Group of Companies in Durban is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive profitable property opportunities across the portfolio, evaluate existing sites, and build a strong network with owners, developers and agents for sustainable growth.

The role requires market analysis, strong ROI-focused business cases, and lease negotiations. You will mentor teammates and align property strategies with group objectives.

Competenze

• Degree in Finance, Property Studies, Business, Legal, Town Planning or related field.
• +5 years’ experience in property development, scouting and business expansion.
• Strong knowledge of the retail property market, store viability and centre design.
• Governance, regulation and financial aspects of property.
• Willingness to travel extensively on short notice.
• Experience in commercial property market and contract law.

• Network and uncover viable business development opportunities across the portfolio.
• Research properties thoroughly for business development, viability and profitability (shopping centres).
• Consolidate data and provide actionable ROI insights for management decisions.
• Negotiate optimal lease agreements with landlords, developers or agents.
