Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is looking for a Project Manager to lead a defined initiative within a Business Unit in Cape Town. You will translate technical jargon to business terms, plan, execute and finalize projects, and set up governance and resource plans.

You will drive dependencies, manage budgets and scope, deliver products on time, coach junior PMs, and coordinate with IT delivery teams and external partners to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Holder of a business-related degree with PM credentials or experience.
• Solid understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience delivering large budgets and managing vendors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure standard project practice and governances followed
• Accurate project implementation: project closure reporting
• Manage key dependencies, roles and challenges
• Deliver product(s) on time and within budget
• Provide coaching to team members and junior PMs
• Identify and manage project risks and issues
• Engage with IT delivery teams, partners and suppliers
• Report to stakeholders with clear action plans
