Job summary

Open Society Africa (South Africa) seeks a Program Manager, Economic and Climate Prosperity to lead country-level work in South Africa and Senegal. You will design, implement and develop programs, combining policy analysis, grant-making and partnerships to advance national and regional priorities.

The role requires strong knowledge of South Africa’s policy environment, stakeholder engagement and ability to navigate government and development finance institutions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Essential Education: University degree or equivalent experience.
• Essential Experience: Substantial experience in green industrial policy, international finance and trade systems; work with governments and development finance institutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and ongoing development of country-level work in South Africa and Senegal.
• Manage grant-making processes, reporting and relationships with grantees.
• Translate technical evidence into policy options and engagement strategies.
• Represent OSF in policy forums and build trusted relationships with government and partners.
• Monitor progress, risks and reporting to the Associate Director of Programs.
