Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Procurement Manager to lead Midrand's purchasing operations. The role oversees strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to maximize value and minimize risk, with scope across international suppliers.

The candidate will manage a team, implement policy, and drive continual process improvements in a fully on-site Midrand office.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field such as Business Admin or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 8 years in procurement/supply chain, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience handling high-value contracts.
• Proficiency with procurement software, e-sourcing tools, and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key spend categories in Midrand.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
• Establish robust supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Negotiate complex contracts with national and international suppliers.
• Conduct market intelligence and cost analyses to identify savings opportunities.
• Oversee procurement budget and ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and legal to align procurement with business needs.
• Implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.
