Placements24 is seeking a proactive Buyer to join our procurement team in Mahikeng, North West. You will source and purchase a range of goods to support operations and drive value through supplier relationships.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and proficiency with procurement software and MS Excel. A Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years’ experience are expected, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work where eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years in a buyer/purchasing role.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, price, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers for goods and services.
• Place purchase orders and manage order fulfillment to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs.
• Monitor market trends and identify sourcing risks and opportunities.
