Square 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced external B2B technical salesperson for the mining sector in Rustenburg. You will represent an engineering and technology business with solutions across electrical distribution, automation, control and mining infrastructure.

This role focuses on growing distributor and end-user sales, building relationships with mine engineers and decision-makers, traveling to sites and delivering technical and commercial solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven external B2B technical sales experience in mining is essential.
• Experience selling electrical, automation, control, industrial or mining technology solutions.
• Exposure to platinum mining sector (Rustenburg, Brits, Mooinooi) preferred.
• Willing to travel regularly to customer and mine sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow distributor and end-user sales within the mining sector.
• Manage and expand mining customers and identify new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with mine engineering, electrical, procurement and ops decision-makers.
• Prepare quotations and proposals and follow opportunities through sales cycle.
• Achieve sales budgets, margins and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
• Travel regularly to customers, distributors and mining operations.
