Job summary

ZealHR in Somerset West, South Africa, seeks a Senior Management Accountant to take technical ownership of the Management Accounting function. Manage complex client portfolios, review AFS and management accounts, and mentor junior staff while delivering strategic insights.

You will lead monthly client meetings, provide forward-looking financial guidance, and collaborate with senior leadership on ad hoc projects, while maintaining strong technical and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles; CIMA candidates will also be considered.
• 5+ years post-qualification experience in an accounting practice or outsourced finance environment.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and SA tax (VAT, income tax, provisional tax).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of more complex clients.
• Independently review monthly management accounts and Annual Financial Statements.
• Draft and review AFS in line with IFRS for SMEs.
• Provide forward-looking financial insights and client guidance.
