Placements24 seeks a strategic Logistics Operations Planner in Paarl to enhance supply chain efficiency. You will forecast, plan, and coordinate movement across transport modes, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with diverse transport modes, and proficiency in logistics planning tools, with a focus on delivering optimized plans aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or related role.
Strong knowledge of road, rail, sea and air transport modes.
Proficiency in logistics planning software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders in Paarl.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute logistics plans, optimizing routes and schedules for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze transportation data to identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with carriers and logistics providers to negotiate rates and SLAs.
Manage and monitor shipment progress, addressing delays or issues.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
Contribute to development and implementation of new logistics strategies and technologies.
