Job summary

Nedbank Ltd is seeking a Learning and Capability Building Lead to design and implement functional academies within the Shared Services HR Hub. You will translate business strategy into academy strategies, curricula and development pathways, ensuring capabilities across technical, professional, digital and leadership areas.

You will partner with executives, HR partners and external providers to enable scalable capability delivery.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in HR, Education, Industrial Psychology or related field
Honours or postgraduate qualification advantageous
Professional accreditation in learning, talent or related field advantageous
8–10+ years of experience in learning strategy, capability development or academy design

Responsibilities

Develops understanding of functional strategy, operating model and performance priorities.
Identifies current and future capability requirements through engagement with executives, HR partners and workforce planning teams.
Provides leaders with evidence-based views of capability strengths, risks and investment priorities.
Translates capability frameworks into curricula, learning pathways and proficiency expectations.
Ensures academy architecture addresses technical, professional, risk, digital and leadership capability.
Designs blended, applied learning solutions embedded near the flow of work.
Acts as senior capability advisor to functional executives and partners with external experts.
Establishes baseline capability measures and evaluates impact of academy interventions.
Creates communities of practice and captures critical institutional knowledge.
