Edgexec (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng, South Africa, seeks a Group Senior Manager of Supply Chain Management to lead procurement governance, policy development and strategic procurement across the organisation.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management of procurement operations, budgeting and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and Treasury requirements.

Qualifications

• Honours degree or higher in SCM, Accounting or Finance.
• Registration with a recognised professional body is required.
• 5–7 years in a senior management role within SCM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement group-wide supply chain policies aligned with legislation and Treasury requirements.
• Review Treasury Regulations, PFMA and internal SCM manuals.
• Prepare policies for Board approval and implement across the organisation.
• Establish KPI's, measure performance and develop procurement plans.
• Lead and manage the procurement team, including recruitment and performance management.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial risk reporting.
• Support subsidiaries with procurement of materials and services.
• Oversee supplier vetting, tax compliance checks and contracts register.
• Build relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor tendering processes for compliance with governance.
• Oversee contract management and supplier relationships.
• Develop sourcing strategies that deliver value-for-money.
• Address audit queries and implement corrective actions.
• Promote governance, integrity and compliance in SCM.
