Gauteng Provincial Government in Johannesburg seeks a Deputy Director: Public Participation and Community Projects (Level 11) for the Dinokeng and Cradle of Humankind site. The role leads inclusive public participation, guides community development projects, and links communities to local economic opportunities.

You will oversee strategical direction, manage human and financial resources, coordinate with sub-programmes and departments, and ensure project delivery per plans.

Qualifications

• Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) or equivalent SAQA qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience providing project administrative and management support.
• 3 years management experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Lead inclusive public participation and drive sustainable community development projects linking communities and adjacent game reserve to local economic opportunities.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership; manage sub-programme work and ensure delivery per business plan and work plan.
• Plan and implement skills development and training projects; plan and implement community projects.
• Stakeholder management, including public meetings; facilitate tourism institution arrangements; promote brand use and compliance with brand policies.
• Ensure planning, scheduling, evaluating and coordination with other sub-programmes and departments on project work.
