Job summary

Western Cape Government seeks an experienced Assistant Director: District and Local Performance Monitoring to coordinate and ensure compliance with legislation and statutory performance across districts and municipalities in the Western Cape. You will lead data collection, validation and evaluation of municipal reporting, and develop recommendations for support and intervention.

The role requires a recognized public administration qualification (NQF level 6 or diploma) and at least three years

Qualifications

• Qualification at NQF level 6 in Public Administration or an appropriate diploma.
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the draft annual Municipal Performance report under section 47 of the Municipal Systems Act.
• Collect, validate and evaluate municipal data and information relating to compliance reports.
• Develop and submit recommendations for municipal support, capacity-building initiatives and interventions.
• Analyze trends in municipal compliance and manage follow-up research and managerial functions.
