Job summary

Nedbank is seeking a communications professional to support and deliver integrated plans across portfolios, strengthening the One Nedbank narrative and improving employee understanding and advocacy.

The role emphasizes shaping messaging, enabling two-way communication, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure consistent communication across channels. Three to five years of relevant experience and a Diploma/Advanced Diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ relevant communications experience, preferably including internal communications and campaign delivery.
• Diploma or Advanced Diploma/National 1st Degree in a relevant field.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver communication plans for assigned portfolios and campaigns, aligned to business strategy, Group Marketing and Integrated Communications strategy.
• Advise stakeholders on communication requirements, contributing early to key initiatives, change programmes and campaigns within agreed scope.
• Create clear, credible and audience-relevant communication that builds understanding, participation, behaviour change, engagement and advocacy.
• Deliver leadership and line-manager communication support, including toolkits, cascade packs, talking points and guidance.
• Enable two-way communication by creating opportunities for employees to ask questions, share feedback and contribute meaningfully.
• Collaborate across clusters, Marketing, media, public relations, creative, channel, event and production teams to support a consistent One Nedbank narrative.
• Use insights, measurement and post-campaign reviews to improve messaging, channel selection, timing and future communication impact.
• Apply brand, trademark, governance and language standards consistently across communication products and campaigns.
• Manage assigned budgets, agencies and suppliers to deliver quality, innovation, value and on-time execution.
• Contribute to future-fit communication capability through shared ways of work, templates, playbooks, peer learning and continuous improvement.
• Plan and manage strategic communication-related virtual and in-person events, including complex and large-scale engagements, while retaining clear accountability for communication outcomes.
