Job summary

RCL Foods in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal, invites applications for Internal Auditor to provide independent oversight of internal controls and risk management. Based in Westville, you will report to the Internal Audit Manager.

You will develop annual audit plans, conduct audits across plants, distribution centers, and head office, and assess risks in stock, procurement, logistics, and revenue. You will prepare reports for senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee, and support improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• NQF Level 7 Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree required.
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)/ CA(SA)/ CISA preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Execution: Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan; audit across manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and head office; risk-based audits across stock, procurement, logistics and revenue processes.
• Risk & Control Assessment: Evaluate internal controls over stock, production, supplier payments and sales; identify weaknesses and monitor corrective actions.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to policies, regulatory requirements, and standards (e.g., food safety); support fraud investigations and prevention controls.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare audit reports for senior management and Audit & Risk Committee; liaise with external auditors as required; advise management on improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Track KRIs and drive control enhancements in FMCG operations.
