Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to manage indirect spend in a hybrid Sandton role. You will oversee sourcing, negotiations, and contracts for IT, marketing, HR, and facilities, while building strong supplier relationships and driving cost savings.

You will analyze spend data, ensure policy adherence, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and efficiencies in a dynamic organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in indirect spend procurement.
• Proven negotiation, contract management and supplier relations skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, ensuring compliance and value.
• Conduct sourcing events, including RFx processes, and lead negotiations with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and address quality, delivery, or service issues.
• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
