Profile Personnel seeks an experienced International & Local Engineering Components Buyer to join its procurement team in Durban. The role focuses on sourcing specialised components from local and international suppliers and managing end-to-end procurement, including imports, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.

You will coordinate shipping, customs documentation, and logistics while maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring performance, quality, and delivery timelines.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years' procurement experience in engineering/manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience in international sourcing, imports, logistics coordination, and supplier management.
• Strong understanding of import procurement processes and international supply chain operations.

Aufgaben

• Source and procure specialised engineering components from local and international suppliers.
• Manage full procurement cycle: supplier selection, quotations, purchase orders, and tracking.
• Coordinate import procurement: shipping, customs docs, and logistics management.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships; monitor performance, quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operations to meet technical requirements.
• Monitor market trends and international trade factors affecting procurement.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure policy compliance.
• Use ERP and inventory systems to support planning and stock control.
