Job summary

AbbVie SA is seeking an FP&A Lead to drive the affiliate planning and consolidation across South Africa and Region Africa. You will partner with Commercial and Finance leaders to deliver a reconciled affiliate view and provide enterprise-level strategic financial support.

You will lead monthly LBE, annual Plan and Long-Range Plan processes, coordinate regional submissions, coach Finance Managers and Demand Manager, and push continuous improvement while upholding high standards of integrity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
Progressive experience in financial planning and analysis and commercial finance.
Demonstrated capability in forecasting, affiliate consolidation and financial modelling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to lead a team, delegate effectively and challenge senior stakeholders.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and Power BI experience advantageous.
High standards of financial integrity and judgement.

Responsibilities

Lead affiliate planning and forecasting, including LBE, Plan and Long-Range Plan (LRP) processes.
Provide commercial-finance leadership with Business Unit Directors to translate performance into actionable insights.
Drive performance management by integrating results, forecasts, risks and opportunities; explain key drivers.
Own affiliate consolidation and regional submissions; ensure accurate, timely submissions.
Support sound decision-making by endorsing Finance recommendations.
Lead and develop the team; set priorities and coach staff.
Strengthen ways of working with clear ownership and quality oversight.
Champion continuous improvement by simplifying reports and processes.
