Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Manager to lead the finance function in Polokwane. The role operates on a hybrid model and requires a strong acumen in financial strategy, planning, and governance.

You will oversee all finance activities, from budgeting to treasury, while guiding a high-performance team and reporting to the board. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree (or CA(SA) equivalent), 10+ years in finance with 5+ in leadership, and deep knowledge of IFRS and SA

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years in finance and accounting with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Experience with financial modeling, strategic planning, and capital management.
• In-depth knowledge of South African financial regulations and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury.
• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support business growth and profitability goals.
• Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS), and tax laws.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present findings to the board and senior management.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
