Job summary

Placements24 in Mahikeng is seeking an Events and Sponsorship Manager to lead planning and corporate partnerships, conceptualize, develop, and execute a range of events from community gatherings to corporate functions, while maximizing sponsorship opportunities and ROI.

The role requires strong organizational skills, negotiation, and relationship-building with sponsors and internal teams; you will manage budgets, vendors, and on-site execution, and deliver compelling post-event analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in event management and/or sponsorship acquisition and management.
• Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events and securing sponsorships.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute a diverse portfolio of events from conception to completion, ensuring they are within budget and meet objectives.
• Identify, solicit, and secure sponsorships from corporations and organizations to support events and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, ensuring delivery of agreed-upon benefits and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, marketing, and on-site execution.
• Develop creative event concepts and innovative sponsorship packages that align with organizational goals.
• Track event success metrics and sponsorship ROI, providing comprehensive post-event reports.
