Job summary

NTT DATA in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead design of complex managed service solutions for large enterprise clients, aligning IT strategies with business KPIs and SLAs. You will shape roadmaps, engage in presales, and drive governance across domains.

The role requires 10+ years in enterprise architecture with a strong data/AI focus, and experience in global, multinational environments.

Qualifications

10+ years in enterprise architecture, consulting, solution strategy or technical pre‑sales.
8+ years in an applications landscape with D&A tech (MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Cloud).
Strong understanding of enterprise applications, software engineering and modern digital platforms.
Knowledge of data platforms, analytics tools and AI/ML solutions.
Experience developing enterprise data strategies, AI adoption roadmaps and information governance models.
Working knowledge of ontology‑based information modelling, knowledge graphs, metadata management and semantic architectures.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Data & AI, AWS Data & AI, Snowflake and related ecosystems.
Ability to develop industry reference architectures for FS, Manufacturing, Mining or Healthcare.
Strong commercial acumen, proposal development and executive presentation capability.
Ability to interrogate delivery models, estimates and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

Integrate services, processes, applications, data and technology through design processes.
Lead complex solution design with clients and internal service teams.
Contribute to knowledge base with best practices and innovation.
Develop business cases and roadmaps to optimize IT operations and deliver value.
Define architectural principles, create transition roadmaps, and guide governance.
