Job summary

NTT DATA is a leading technology services provider seeking a Senior Data Architect to act as a strategic technical advisor between Sales, Clients, Industry Leaders, Delivery and Global Practices, with emphasis on Enterprise Data and AI.

You will shape data go‑to‑market strategy, develop data governance and AI adoption roadmaps, and engage C‑suite conversations in South Africa to translate capabilities into client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise architecture, consulting, solution strategy or technical pre‑sales.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, software engineering and modern digital platforms.
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise data strategies, AI adoption roadmaps and information governance models.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor to Sales and Client Managers, leading executive‑level discovery and value‑led conversations.
• Facilitate client discussions to understand business requirements related to data and applications estate, including governance and technology direction.
• Help shape client deals and develop opportunities alongside the Sales team.
• Define target‑state architectures, roadmaps and investment priorities.
• Mentor sales teams by raising technical capability and qualification discipline.
• Localise global application offers and develop industry propositions for the SA market.
