Job summary

iqbusiness South Africa is seeking an Enterprise AI & Data Solution Architect to design credible, scalable, and secure architectures that support the solution-led growth agenda. You will partner with Sales, Solution Leads, and delivery teams to ensure client solutions are technically sound and aligned to enterprise architecture principles.

This role brings technical credibility into sales and solutioning conversations, showing how AI, data, cloud platforms, governance, and modern architectures

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
• Experience across modern data platforms, cloud, integration, analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Comfortable supporting pre-sales, proposal development, solution estimation and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI/Data solution architectures across data platforms, integration, analytics, AI/ML, GenAI and enterprise technology landscapes.
• Translate client business priorities into architectures and solution designs.
• Define target-state architectures, transition approaches and architecture roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, governed, cost-aware and fit for enterprise deployment.
• Identify architecture risks, dependencies and constraints early in the sales cycle.
• Support early-stage client conversations with technical credibility.
• Contribute architecture diagrams, blueprints and platform recommendations.
• Participate in client workshops, solution presentations and due diligence sessions.
• Design architectures for AI-enabled data platforms, GenAI solutions, enterprise search and data products.
• Advise on data readiness, governance and security requirements.
• Support MLOps, model deployment and operational governance considerations.
• Ensure responsible AI, privacy and model risk considerations are embedded.
• Provide architecture oversight during mobilisation and early delivery.
