Job summary

Amazon in South Africa is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to drive adoption of AWS and AI across diverse Enterprise clients. You will assess portfolios, design cloud-native architectures, and collaborate with AWS teams to deliver strategic solutions that demonstrate measurable business value.

You will engage with CxOs, Directors, Architects and Developers to translate complex tech into cost-effective, scalable cloud outcomes, across security, data analytics, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• Ensure success in building, migrating and modernising applications on the AWS cloud and AI platform.
• Educate customers on AWS value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions for successful deployment.
• Conduct enablement sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support.
