Job summary

Bonafide Human Capital represents a well-known automotive dealer client in Johannesburg South seeking an experienced Dealer Principal. The role oversees strategic, operational and financial management across three sites to drive profitability, compliance, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

You will lead all dealership functions – Sales, Service, Parts, and Administration – ensuring targets are met, while fostering a high-performance culture and adherence to group strategy and OEM

Qualifications

• Matric (essential).
• Tertiary qualification in Business Management or related field (advantageous).
• 8–10 years experience in the motor industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record as Dealer Principal/General Manager/Branch Manager/New Vehicle Sales Manager.
• Valid South African driver’s license and clear criminal/credit record.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to all dealership departments across three sites.
• Oversee daily dealership operations ensuring alignment with manufacturer standards and governance.
• Manage and monitor the dealership’s financial performance including budgets and forecasts.
• Drive vehicle sales performance and marketing strategies across all brands.
• Maintain exceptional customer service levels and adherence to OEM CSI standards.
• Ensure compliance with MIBCO, OEM, financial and HR legislative requirements.
• Provide regular operational and financial reports to Regional Executive and Head Office.
