Job summary

DLK is seeking a Data Analyst / Data Governance & Knowledge Management Consultant to drive enterprise‑level governance and knowledge management initiatives across the organisation. You will lead requirements gathering, stakeholder consultations, and governance workshops, and develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and operating models.

Strong data dictionaries, taxonomies, metadata, and asset inventories are essential.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 6+ qualification in Information/Data Management or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Analysis, Information Management, or Knowledge Management.
• Proven experience developing and implementing Data Governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Hands-on with data dictionaries, taxonomies, metadata, and asset inventories.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and documentation skills.
• Experience working across both business and technical stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder consultations, and governance workshops.
• Analyse existing data policies, frameworks, and standards — identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
• Establish governance structures: roles, responsibilities, committees, escalation mechanisms.
• Create and maintain data taxonomies, dictionaries, metadata repositories, and asset inventories.
• Define and implement data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
• Develop and roll out a Knowledge Management maturity roadmap, improving capture, organisation, and sharing of institutional knowledge.
• Produce high‑quality analysis, reports, and governance artefacts for senior stakeholders.
