Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd seeks an eminent actuary to lead the Financial Management of the Personal Finance segment. The role drives strategic financial planning, capital and risk management, and ensures alignment to Group requirements and external regulations.

The incumbent chairs the GRC committee, oversees internal and external reporting, and provides executive-level support for commercial viability of distribution models within Personal Finance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Significant executive/senior level financial leadership experience, including financial reporting, performance management, capital management and strategic planning within a complex financial services environment.
• Demonstrated strategic insight, commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders to drive business performance and value creation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and drives Segment Financial Strategy.
• Oversees Financial management and reporting across the Personal Finance segment.
• Leads Business planning and analysis to align financial plan with segment strategy.
• Chairs the segment’s GRC committee and oversees governance, risk and compliance.
• Ensures timely and compliant external and internal reporting.
