Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking financial services client in East London, Eastern Cape, to hire a Blockchain Business Analyst. You will bridge business needs with blockchain solutions, capture requirements, and shape functional specs for development teams.

You will work with stakeholders, analyze market opportunities, prepare use cases, and support testing and rollout while staying informed on blockchain trends in fintech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably with blockchain/fintech experience.
• Strong understanding of financial services processes and terminology.
• Solid grasp of distributed ledgers, smart contracts, and consensus mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements for blockchain-related projects from stakeholders.
• Analyze current business processes and identify areas where blockchain technology can provide solutions.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with business users and technical teams.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis related to blockchain applications in financial services.
• Evaluate the feasibility and potential ROI of proposed blockchain initiatives. Assist in the development of use cases and business cases for blockchain adoption.
• Support the testing and implementation phases of blockchain solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in the blockchain and fintech space.
• Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for management in East London.
