Job summary

RMG Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Durban seeks a highly credible business partner to manage key customer relationships, identify opportunities and support sustainable revenue growth across strategic accounts.

You will lead a small commercial team, engage with senior management and stakeholders, and collaborate with engineering, operations and finance to deliver competitive, value-based proposals.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years commercial, sales, business development or customer relationship management experience.
• Proven experience managing key customer relationships.
• Demonstrated success developing new business and/or growing existing accounts.
• Experience dealing with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers or large corporate customers is advantageous.
• Strong MS Office and presentation skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead and develop a small commercial team.
• Engage with senior management, customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Establish the company as a trusted supplier and strategic partner.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain engagement.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Work with engineering, operations, finance and project management on commercial proposals.
• Understand product costing, pricing structures and margins.
• Participate in commercial negotiations with customers.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
