Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Game Narrative Designer to join our storytelling team in Queenstown. You will craft engaging narratives, dialogues, and lore that bring our game worlds to life, collaborating with designers, writers, and artists to weave narrative into gameplay.

A strong portfolio and passion for interactive storytelling are essential. You will design branching narratives and world-building elements, contributing to a collaborative studio that values storytelling as a core

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Game Writer or Narrative Designer with a portfolio.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong narrative sense.
Familiarity with game development pipelines and tools (Unity, Unreal Engine).
Ability to develop complex characters and compelling plots.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and write engaging storylines, character backstories, and dialogue for game projects.
Design and implement narrative systems, including branching narratives and quest design.
Collaborate with game designers to integrate narrative with gameplay mechanics.
Work with artists and animators to ensure visual elements support the narrative vision.
Create world-building documentation, including lore and environmental storytelling cues.
Edit and refine narrative content for consistency, quality, and impact.
