Job summary

G-Core Capital in Durban seeks an experienced Logistics Stores Officer with 13 years in automotive manufacturing to manage materials, stock levels, and SAP records.

You will ensure 5S and safety compliance, perform cycle counts, process GRNs, and coordinate with Purchasing, Finance and Production to keep operations running smoothly. Applicants should have matric and an inventory/warehousing background.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• 13 years relevant experience in logistics/stores role within automotive manufacturing.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Inventory management and warehousing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store materials, steel components, consumables, and maintenance items.
• Maintain stock levels with min/max controls.
• Ensure 5S, safety, and housekeeping compliance.
• Record all stock movements accurately.
• Conduct cycle counts and stock takes.
• Process orders and liaise with Purchasing, Finance, and Production.
• Verify quality and quantity of goods received.
• Issue materials to production teams.
• Process GRNs and outbound documents on SAP.
• Maintain filing and document control.
• Provide general administrative support.
