Job summary

R.A.W. GROUP in George is seeking a Stores/Inventory Assistant to manage incoming deliveries, verify items, and issue components per job cards.

You will conduct regular stock counts, maintain logs, and keep a clean, safe storeroom to ensure production never stalls.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming deliveries, verify items against purchase orders, and issue parts or components according to job cards.
• Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile physical stock with inventory records, and report discrepancies.
• Maintain orderly, clean storeroom layout for easy access and fast retrieval of stock.
• Read, interpret, and process job cards to ensure correct materials are picked and dispatched to production on time.
• Maintain up-to-date logs for all incoming/outgoing inventory, delivery notes, and requisitions.
• Assist as a general assistant, helping finish products before shipping.
• Communicate with procurement to avoid stock shortages.
• Set up better storage systems during off-peak periods; refine labeling and reorganize storeroom.
• Pre-pack standard kits, organize fast-moving inventory, and audit stock levels to prevent production stalls.

• Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe storeroom layout to ensure easy access and fast retrieval of stock.




• Accurately read, interpret, and process job cards to ensure correct materials are picked and dispatched to production on time.




• Maintain up-to-date physical logs for all incoming and outgoing inventory, delivery notes, and requisitions.




• Assistance as a general assistant, helping with the finishing of the products before being shipped off to the customer.




• Communicate with procurement to ensure no stock shortages.




• Take initiative during quieter/off-peak periods to set up better storage systems, refine labeling, and re-organize the storeroom for maximum efficiency.




• Proactively pre-pack standard kits, organize fast-moving inventory, and audit stock levels ahead of time to ensure factory production never stalls due to missing parts during busy cycles.
