Job summary

Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations in a busy retail environment in Cape Town. You will drive sales, manage staff, and ensure smooth store performance, while maintaining assets and stock integrity.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on coaching to improve customer service, merchandising, and security compliance. A full-time on-site position with opportunities to optimize store profitability.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required.
• NQF 5/6 in Retail/Business Management (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (Code 8) required.
• 2-5 years in retail/sales/operations as Assistant Manager/Manager.

Responsibilities

• Asset & Store Maintenance: Keep the store neat, coordinate repairs, secure assets.
• Stock Control: Manage stock levels, reorder, identify slow-moving items, conduct stock takes, control shrinkage.
• Merchandising: Oversee product displays, layout, promotions, and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Marketing & Sales: Implement promotions, lead staff in displays, participate in marketing activities, achieve sales targets, organize events.
• Administration & Cash Handling: Maintain admin standards, oversee cash procedures, manage expenses, report daily figures.
• Security & Risk: Ensure security protocols are followed, monitor security staff, handle alarm calls, ensure health & safety standards.
• Customer Service: Train staff, assist customers, handle inquiries/complaints, enhance customer satisfaction.
• People Management: Assign duties, motivate, train, evaluate staff, manage staffing and attendance, conduct meetings.
