Job summary

Pick n Pay is hiring a Warehouse/Stockroom Assistant at Longbeach Mall, Western Cape, for a full-time role. You will merchandise and pack products according to standards and maintain hygiene and safe working practices in the warehouse.

Key duties include stacking and storing products safely, rotating stock, checking quality, preventing waste, handling load in and out, and assisting customers. The position requires Grade 12 and a competency-based interview; transfer between stores may be required.

Qualifications

• Competencies include communication, conscientiousness, customer focus, routine work handling, and thorough/accurate work.
• Grade 12 is required and competency-based interview will assess suitability.
• Note: transferability between stores may be required.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner according to standards.
• Merchandise products according to laid down guidelines.
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages.
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to standards.
• Respond to customers’ queries in a courteous manner.
• Off load trucks.
