Job summary

Pick n Pay Ottery in Western Cape is hiring a Clerk Inventory to maintain stock ledger integrity and support accurate shelf availability. The role focuses on executing stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring proper stock movements across departments.

You will work across stores, requiring attention to detail, good communication, and willingness to transfer between stores as needed. Minimum Grade 12 and 2–3 years retail experience are preferred, with assessments and competency

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• 2–3 years retail experience is an added advantage.
• Must communicate in English.
• Must pass prescribed assessments.
• Competencies include attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to transfer between stores.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control and stock count execution.
• Manage stock movement processes (Shop Use, RTC, inter‑department transfers, Waste).
• Print and analyse daily/weekly stock reports.
• Identify discrepancies and advise management on corrective actions.
• Ensure dormancy, obsolescence and overstock controls.
